It’s our Birthday!
On May 18, Traveling Stories is turning 12. We invite you to celebrate with us all month long!
Since 2010, because of generous support from people like you, Traveling Stories has impacted over 10,000 children and accomplished these achievements:
Opened seven libraries internationally
Developed and licensed the pop-up StoryTent program
Pivoted to a virtual StoryTent model during COVID-19
Last year, Traveling Stories matched 158 students with mentors for weekly, one-on-one reading sessions. Students recorded growth in reading levels and love for reading. This year, we’re on track to serve 350+ students.
About 40% of students who enroll receive a need-based scholarship. The other 60% pay what they can between $10- $55 for each 9-week program (the average fee paid by parents is $27).
The demand for the program is growing, but we need your help to scale our capacity! One way you can help us impact more families is by donating to our Scholarship Campaign. For Traveling Stories' 12th birthday, our goal is to raise $6,600 by May 31 to fund 120 scholarships (10 for each year we’ve been in existence).
Will you consider helping us fulfill our “birthday wish” by making a tax-deductible donation today? A gift of $550 will fund 10 scholarships, $275 will fund 5 scholarships, and $55 will fund 1 scholarship.
