Let us tell you about the AMAZING author Tom Watson!

Tom Watson is the talented man behind the extremely popular “Stick Dog” and “Stick Cat” book series.

The interesting thing about Tom is that his career has not always been in writing children’s books. In fact, after college, he started working in politics. At one point he even served as the chief speechwriter for the governor of Ohio.

According to Tom’s website, stickdogbooks.com, when his children were younger he began writing and illustrating rhyming picture books for them. Somewhere along the line, Tom realized that he enjoyed writing books for children a lot more than writing speeches for adults.

Tom is not only the author of the “Stick Dog” and “Stick Cat” books, but he is also the artist of the original sketches for the series. Ethan Long then transforms his drawings into the images that appear inside the pages of the books you read!

The “Stick Dog” and “Stick Cat” characters have been on a number of adventures!

Book titles include:

  • Stick Dog
  • Stick Dog Wants a Hot Dog
  • Stick Dog Chases A Pizza
  • Stick Dog Dreams of Ice Cream
  • Stick Dog Tries to Take the Donuts
  • Stick Dog Slurps Spaghetti
  • Stick Dog Craves Candy – Coming July 25, 2017!

(Are you sensing a theme yet?)

  • Stick Cat: A Tale of Two Kitties

The humorous story lines and quirky stick figure drawings are sure to capture any young readers attention!
